A picture is worth…well, one word; at least with regard to New York photographer David Dyte’s latest collaboration with amadeus. We challenged David to snap a collection of photos based on a single word that we gave him for inspiration to point and shoot. Here’s what he came up with given the word, ‘transient.’

“This was a tricky assignment. I walked outside, having not thought about it much, expecting to know transient when I saw it. But other than melting snow, I struggled for inspiration. Eventually, after a frustrating couple of days, I had a small set to work with. Throwing in a few older photos for good measure, here are a few things that seem to me to be transient in one way or another. An ephemeral snowflake, a momentary touch, the high point of a leap. Enjoy – but only for a minute.”
