We couldn’t be more excited to share the new issue of Amadeus Magazine.
We’ve been told since the day we started that our magazine was too expensive to produce and “don’t we know that print is dead,” along with all that other genius theory about maintaining a magazine in the digital age. It usually comes from the same people that tell us that we need to be more accessible, that we need to come up with a theme for each issue or that we should be preoccupied with clicks and followers. And while hundreds of thousands of clicks might be attractive to our non-existent advertisers, the truth is, we’re not changing our ways, not now, and probably not ever, because we have other priorities. Like spending Saturday mornings in the studio with artists, tagging along to a lowrider car show in Watts, or shooting some more photos and printing them up for you. We just hit record and watch as the things going on around us unfold. It’s all about priorities for us, and here, although our priorities may be different than others, it doesn’t take much to continue creating this quarterly magazine-book thing that we feel an utter compulsion to keep producing. Like those that have come before, issue 08 does something really special in bringing together an eclectic mix of creative and curious oddballs. Enjoy this printed monster of a magazine.
We worked with a great crew to make this one, and it’s undoubtedly filled with some of the most rousing and exciting artists we know.
This issue includes:
Dabs Myla, Deanna Templeton, Valerie J Bower, Mike Biskup, Ben Sanders, Luke McGarry, Drew Young, Aaron Elvis Jupin, Chloe Kovska, and Sean Morris.
