Sang Bleu Art & Tattoo Pop-Up At Imperial Art Studios

It's only been about nine months since Maxime Buchi opened Sang Bleu London - a tattoo shop, but also an art gallery, and official office space of Sang Bleu publishing, clothing, and design projects - however Buchi's pursuit to further expand the reach and presence of the Sang Bleu creative community, the widely recognized tattoo artist has opened a month-long tattoo and art pop-up space at the thriving artistic venue, Imperial Art Studios, in downtown Los Angeles.

My first memory, the undeniable evidence that I was once a baby with no stories to tell, is of my father. Jet black long hair, matching beard, he smiled and carefully placed me on the bed. This image of him remains vivid, it is one of the dearest memories I hold. Our relationship, like most father and daughter’s is unique and at times frail. Our strongest bond and my two most effective weapons of daughterly manipulation have been my ability to speak arabic, his native language, and sing every word of Syria’s national anthem.

Last Friday, thanks to our good friends at Hungry Ghost Press, we participated in a pop-up zine fest at Urban Outfitters in Boston; a night filled with zines, artwork, exclusive fashion designs from our talented friend Nicole DiVito, free PBR, sales merch, and an unbelievably fun photo booth.
