Scott Albrecht’s New Book of Translations

Abby RingiewiczNovember 19, 2016

Let the first meeting of the amadeus book club commence! From wall to page, the geometrics of our issue 09-featured friend Scott Albrecht has jumped artistic channels once more, and into a lap-friendly hardcover version of the Brooklyn-based artist’s abstract dialogue. The thick 92 pages is yet another collaborative installment of Scott Albrecht x Valley Cruise press, printed and published by the folks at Valley Cruise, and includes works old and new, as well as an interview with the artist via his friend and artistic comrade, Hyland Mathers of Andenken Gallery, and a forward by New York Times editor, Robb Todd. It’s a first edition run of 500 copies, so click and cart while you can!

And don’t miss Albrecht’s show, New Translations, at Subliminal Projects in L.A. The exhibition is a visual storytelling of changes transpired, abstracted for translation in colorful shapes and blanketing typography, in wood and on paper. The solo show runs November 19 through January 7.
